So you know how in films to portray a character holding back their emotions, the character will clench their fist so hard it bleeds?

I never understood that. I have always bit my nails, often leaving a good amount of skin between the nail end and the top of my fingers.

Well, I’ve grown my nails out and yeah, I get it now. I just yawned and stretched and clenched my fists, and it hurt!
