There are so many things about this timeline that are just dumb. My suspension of disbelief is broken. I want to subscribe to a different one.

Once they lose all of the money the government gives them (Medicare, Medicaid, VA benefits), they’ll be more likely to act. I do want to note that I’m not saying that being a veteran means you’re crazy, there’s just enough overlap to make it worth mentioning.
