The Israeli military said it had begun resuming enforcement of the Gaza ceasefire after it says it was “violated” by Hamas, signaling an end to strikes on the territory that it said were carried out in response to earlier attacks on its forces on Sunday, Reuters reported.

“In accordance with the directive of the political echelon, and following a series of significant strikes in response to Hamas’ violations, the IDF has begun the renewed enforcement of the ceasefire,” the military said in a statement.

It adds: “The IDF will continue to uphold the ceasefire agreement and will respond firmly to any violation of it.”

These idiots spend half the message praising themselves and the other half just spouting profanity and phrases that won’t convince anyone of anything.

If you want to actually have a chance at changing minds, just report the actual news that many Americans never see because their news sources bury it or don’t report it:

• about the continual violation of the cease fire by Israel
• about the tortured, mutilated, and executed prisoners returned by Israel
• about the murder of fisherman
• about the ICE raid on the Chicago apartment where 37 adults and children were dragged naked into the street and so far they can only claim one person was possibly in the country illegally
• play the audio of ICE tear gassing normal people, including an infant, who saw there was a vehicle collision between an ICE vehicle and another car and approached the scene
• play the audio of ICE shattering the window of a car with an infant in it and the mother screaming in terror
• about the outrageous lengths Trump’s lackeys are going to to prevent disclosure of the Epstein files
• about the promise of $40 billion to Argentina to prop up a right-wing ideologue and what that could buy every taxpayer in the country, followed immediately by how they can’t find the money to extend health care benefits
• about the build up of forces in the Caribbean in what is clearly a build up to war with Venezuela

Et cetera. Americans who are in their bubble need to be disturbed out of their bubble.

The maxed out laptop I bought this year had 10x as many cores as the maxed out one I had previously from 2016 or 2017. RAM was faster and 4x larger, the clock speed was a bit higher, the storage was maybe 2x.

I definitely feel it perform significantly better. The main difference is the number of cores and the amount of RAM, and particularly how cool the CPU runs.

But my last laptop felt the same way when I bought it. I think this is mostly because developer optimization is inversely correlated to hardware spec improvements. Gross under-optimization is allowed if the hardware permits it.

Unfortunately all too rare. I respect it.

Notably Hamas killed Palestinians and Israel killed Palestinians. It turns out that they can agree on something.

The people Hamas executed had organized into a militia, but it’s unclear whether it was for mutual defense or to try to monopolize scarce resources.

The people Israel killed were civilians.

The headline implies Hamas killed Israelis, but that isn’t mentioned in the report.

Israel has been violating the agreement since the beginning, just like last time. They’re looking for any excuse to resume full-scale bombing, especially now that people have returned to Gaza City.

Hamas has returned all living hostages and 1/3 of the dead ones in good faith, but can’t return any more without heavy excavating equipment since there are ruins of entire buildings on top of them.

Israel will withhold that equipment and then say Hamas is in violation. This was likely their plan all along.

I think it’s explained by the fact that governments assert a monopoly on violence, including imprisonment. The apparent risk is higher. You also can’t opt out, whereas you (theoretically, if not in practice) can with private services.

And more importantly, it’s highly visible, versus buried in a disclosure or hidden on a server. If the information those companies gather were in front of people’s faces, they’d be more up in arms about it.

If you have little to no experience with programming at all, I suggest trying the assembly game TIS-100 first to wrap your head around the concepts, rather than trying to learn 6502 right away.

I would pair it with this tutorial, which is really just a bottom-up programming course.

Python is very different from assembly, but assembly isn’t hard to learn if you apply yourself and take it slow. It will seem kind of abstract without something like the game above to challenge your understanding.
