Two easy fixes, random orders on the ballots. Or the top option is always “None of the below”.

I think this election proves we need two major changes:
PR so everyone is equally represented whether we like them or not.
Australian style mandatory voting. My betting is that a lot of people who would have voted labour this election stayed home because of how much the media showed it was on the bag for labour.
Ohh I thought donut was the American spelling of doughnut.
Which Corbin would still have managed to fuck up.
We really need to be able trigger by-elections for nonperformance, he’s still an MP after all. Fall below minimum attendance at the commons and can’t prove it’s because you’re doing constituency work and a recall petition should be triggered.
Then you end up with Boris, Truss, Sunaak in a single parliament and then wondering why your party is seen as being incapable of selecting anyone decent and then a crushing electoral defeat.
It’s almost all if Google chasing a quick buck is the issue.
If it makes you feel better I’d have loved to vote lib dem, but had to hold my nose to vote labour.
I think it’s important to note that the primary reason the conservative party has had many of their seats in the past is because the left/socially progressive vote was split between labour, lib Dems and the greens.
For me I’d say the one-nation part of the conservative party.
And socially progressive parties got 56% of the vote. But that’s split between about 4 parties.
Luckily the exit poll was wrong. Still worrying that they got 4 seats.
Hopefully if Frog Face does try his takeover the Tories will split, and the ones that aren’t racist, climate change denier economically incompetent idiots will either form their own party or join the lib Dems.
Multiple wealthy countries have put incentives in place to encourage increased birth rates, all have failed. Other than forcibly inseminating women there’s not much they could do.
Girls will be boys and boys will be girls, It’s a mixed up, muddled up, shook up world, Except for Lola
Aldi?
They knew.
33% Green
33% Labour
33% Lib Dem
So I’m off to stopthetories.vote I guess too see if it’s Lib dem or labour who’s most likely to overturn the 70% odd percentage majority my Tory MP has.
The “of course” makes it clear you dislike the outcome
Only inasmuch as a desirable outcome would have been the lowering of the age of retirement for men to either that of women or meeting both on the middle. The issue is that the government being the government took it as an excuse to effectively cut welfare.
The long mention of the men who in your eyes “caused” this
To be honest it probably just brought it on sooner. The government would have found it as excuse to raise the retirement age without it being highlighted to them.
also makes it pretty obvious what your stance is about this and who you want the scapegoat to be in the discussion.
No, still don’t see it.
I don’t see how you got that from what I said.
I didn’t think the American system allowed for early elections?
