There’s some good flavor in this world, Mr. Frodo, and it’s worth fighting for.
Just a bridgeman doing his thing.

Why would grated parm be different from parm regianno?
one day it stopped being gibberish and started being language.
I think that day is awesome for any language learner. When you realize you actually understand what someone is saying instead of trying to translate in your head. 🤌
The thing that got me when finally speaking to natives was how fast natural speaking is. You think you can understand things fine but that’s because the teachers and apps are speaking clearly and slowly and waiting for you to parse each sentence. Natural conversation isn’t like that.
you’d be called gay if you ever rode a bike with a helmet back then, and on top of that made fun of for wearing goggles
I agree this isn’t an old pic but this statement reads like you’ve never been offroading on a bike. The first time you’re riding and a branch hits your head when you’re blasting down a trail or get mud in your eye during a maneuver, you’ll grab that protective gear, trust me.
They solved one conundrum just to find another. Too few dwarfs then too many.
I heard one of the files they stole was labeled “The complete guide to git gud”
Horse manure isn’t bad. It’s fairly dry and compact in nuggets. I would be more worried about the horse piss, they piss literally gallons at a time.
Also when the companies inevitably pull out of the area and leave a ghost town some entrepreneur can come along and make a theme park. Win-win-win in my book. /s
What…and I cannot stress this enough…the shit.
When I was a regular runner I hated getting up in the morning but preferred running in the morning. I’m not really a morning person but the easiest way to beat the heat is to run as early as you can. Preferably before the sun comes up.
I agree with you to a point. People can get used to high heats. However we are going to be reaching problem temperatures soon. Look up wet bulb temperatures. I will drop this quote from the wiki page on wet bulb temperatures:
Even heat-adapted people cannot carry out normal outdoor activities past a wet-bulb temperature of 32 °C (90 °F), equivalent to a heat index of 55 °C (131 °F). A reading of 35 °C (95 °F) – equivalent to a heat index of 71 °C (160 °F) – is considered the theoretical human survivability limit for up to six hours of exposure.
“Ah yes, someone interrupting the sportsball game. Let’s use a weapon on them that is sometimes fatal. That is an appropriate escalation of force.”

I never realized Dorothy suffered from nominative determinism.
Rotten ones would be better. It’s damn hard to get that smell out.

New England is fully correct so no one there will be mad.
