I don’t think Iran having highly enriched uranium is in question but there’s been no evidence put forward that it was in the process of being weaponized. Moreover who is to say that Iran can’t have nukes? The United States, China, Russia, all authoritarian regimes in possession of thousands of WMDs, what gives us the right to unilaterally stop others from possessing the same weapons?

Perhaps I should clarify. I am a machine learning researcher. In the scientific literature there is no basis for claims of artificial general intelligence. The current boom of AI is almost entirely spurred by the transformer model which is essentially a very fancy autocomplete. These models don’t exhibit intelligence as we understand it, nor are they capable of generalization. There are simply no machine learning models or frameworks currently in existence or even theorized that would be able to create and intelligent machine capable of meeting our definitions of AGI.

There is no such thing as agi, humans have no concept or understanding of what such a machine architecture would even possibly look like. Full stop.
