This sounds a lot like my experience. I’ve been debating going back, and hearing others have been able to accomplish it alleviates some of my concerns.
This is a nice thread. I don’t have any big achievements recently but I’m doing alright. Hope you are too.

Jet powering a drone that small is a bold move but with a talented pilot would be very impressive
Considering how much medication can help, uh, yeah, do those things. Its a trivial inconvenience compared to living unmedicated.
Also 5k is a lot, maybe if you’re uninsured? Hell, getting an uninsured MRI is cheaper than that. And health insurance is kind of a must for living with a disability.
Don’t like sentiments like this. I feel like it prevents people from getting the help they need.

Wasn’t that expensive when I went last year, actually felt relatively affordable. Actually, all of Europe felt affordable compared to food prices in the US…
Not worth it
Culturally, not a fan, for many reasons others have mentioned - and the whole caste system thing tends to sour a lot of the otherwise positive aspects.
That said, the food is EXCELLENT, and that must not be overlooked.

A decent stopgap could be to ship LiPo battery protection bags with every battery - they’re comparatively cheap as hell and while they don’t stop smoke (which was the issue in this case), they can greatly reduce fire spread and burn rates.
Iceland. Its pretty, it has an interesting history, the culture is very egaltarian, and the people are quite friendly. And I love the cold.
Plus they make INSANELY good gin.
