  • I really want a toaster oven. just not enough to have bothered to buy one

I’ve got an air fryer that I use pretty often, but a toaster oven would be more useful to me. good to know there’s ones with convection / air frying ability now, neat

I’m lucky to have tons of counter space for gadgets. and yeah not running the oven in the summer is fantastic, as I like it cooooold in the house

10 and 2 (and now 9 and 3, though to a lesser extent) is just a visual indicator of what drivers you need to be extra wary of when they’re around you

not all 9&3s are, but pretty much all 10&2s

and the 9&3s you don’t have to worry about are very easy to identify, because they’re not driving 53 in a 60 designed for 80km/h, unable to stay straight in the lane, and not staring dead ahead with dead eyes

I know we all joke about this, but like, it’s literally probably safer than using a fucking unintuitive touchscreen to control your climate settings or wipers or headlights

you could have a dash mounted phone and use voice to text, and that is pretty much guaranteed less of a distraction to a driver than trying to navigate menus to turn off their high beams

I used to know someone who would regularly rate headaches/migraines as a 10 when I asked them how bad it was, and like, no, it’s clearly not a 10, because you’re standing up talking to me. A 10 is beyond curled up in the fetal position unable to open your eyes through the pain. I get that you are used to these headaches, and can overcome a lot of the pain - but that’s still not a fucking 10, that’s like a 6 or 7 at most. Lying about it means I can’t accurately judge how to help you.

I’ve had tension headaches where I’ve spent hours on the shower floor in the middle of the night and I’d still rate them at most an 8 for the very worst ones where I couldn’t get up

  • Jays fan, so it was an interesting year. quite the finish, very entertaining

but holy fuck do I ever hate SportsNet for having such a shitty fucking streaming service. and jesus fucking christ the gambling ads.

I doubt I’ll pay them next year - I only did this year because of how well the Jays were doing at the end of the year. last year I canceled mid year I think because I was sick of how shitty their fucking app was. also, what happened to the 2 minute 5 minute and 10 minute recaps? that shit was great, perfect for sitting down to eat breakfast or lunch and catch up on last night’s game. I fucking loved those things in 2024 but this year they just didn’t do it or something.

  • I found the characters pretty flat as well. Neat atmosphere, though. I’m not really into that type of game so it was something new and interesting to me.

I also finally made the time to play it at a rough time in my life, and oh boy, let me tell you, your personal circumstances at the time of playing have a huge effect on how the game makes you feel if you give in to it. I actually found it pretty helpful, tbh. It helped me process some shit because it gave me the opening to think about some stuff I was kind of ignoring, even though I thought I’d processed it.

anyways yeah that’s how I found myself crying half drunk in my basement alone playing a video game

still. the writing was meh. it was neat, but it was meh, and honestly, the mehness is kind of part of it. it’s not some big crazy thing. it’s just some average people doing average people things, nothing special about them, and it allowed me to think about my own stuff instead of the characters’ stuff.
