  • TNG season 1 is a good start its rough around the edges and if it starts to look like the movie “Coming to America” go ahead and skip that episode. Just watch knowing it’s going to get better like Park and Rec but it sets up a lot of storylines that will pay off later and some classic episodes that people forget are season 1 like “Measure of a man”.

  • The point being made is really just the identity of user being tied to [email protected] vs @handle it seems like that concept has died with Web 2.0. Only thing I would improve of the fediverse. If communities could be merged with when a group of instances agree to form a network. Like how IRC does it with channels. I mean yeah there would be netsplits from time to time but it would cut down on duplication and increase the traffic of niche communities like the benefits of central platforms get but it’s still distributed.

  • I sort by new and most posts are not trash as they were on reddit. Things don’t need 50k up votes to be valuable. Lemmy as a platform was the perfect blend of old school forms and reddit. Im just sad it took so long that people forgot how the internet is supposed to work.

It’s like they get email is [email protected] but for anything else they say that’s too hard. Hell even when I give my email they just assume Gmail. I swear Web 2.0 was a cancer.

  • No do I think an Al-Qaeda like terrorist organization established by Christian nationalists gets formed that’s already here. A Civil War is only when to established governments fight over territory. And no military in the entire world can go Toe to Toe with the full force of the US Military with conventional Warfare. Maybe the National Guard in the couple Southern States Splinter off but the way soldiers are trained in the National Guard is they swear in allegiance to the US Constitution not the governor or president.
