Since the soviet unions dissolution in 1991. Soviet satellite states went independent shortly after. The nagorno karabakh area was hotly contested, both Armenians and Azeris lived kinda throughout each other’s lands, before and during the collapse both sides were opting for independence. However before that armenians were heavily prejudiced against by both Azeris and Russians. Essentially rioting and violent confrontation led to a pogrom of Armenians in azerbaijan held territory. So the Armenians since 1988 fought against azerbaijan and took the nk area by force nearly dominating Baku before a cease fire in 1994 was signed…of course short lived. By 2019 all land that was once taken by Armenians has been surrendered back to azerbaijan.

If it helps, armenia is a majority Christian religion and azerbaijan is majority Muslim.

I do actually want a child, i know it’s hard. But several instances and things beyond my control and this current political climate. Absolutely not. And being almost too old, we’ll I guess it’s fast becoming not an option.

So on my soapbox for a minute.

Most liberals would actually have children, if you make the environment supportive of those who choose that option. Being in the US i can assure you, it’s exactly the opposite in this dumb country. It’s a liability, it’s cruel, its harsh. There’s barely any incentive beyond not having your bloodline die out.

I don’t think you realize… the American deep south and southwest are rapidly becoming uninhabitable.

And hegseth force retired 17000 troops for being trans. Let me tell you Canadian brothers and sisters, less than 1% of our current population is eligible to enlist in the military, due to obesity, medical history, mental health.

We can’t meet our recruitment goals, retention sucks. Oh but hegseth is coming now for those still in by reviewing grooming and fitness standards. That will probably get rid of 45% of the forces…
