I’d add something from my pocket and get a cigar box guitar. As a mediocre bass player I always wanted to learn guitar, but because I’m obviously too stupid and cumbersome to learn proper guitar, cigar boxes might be an option since it has only half the strings. Plus it looks and sounds cool as fuck. And would be nice thing to introduce my wife and kids to active music.

I’m on the same boat. I needed this and was about to write similar post yesterday (but got too tired).

This year has been pretty rough at work for me with today being the worst (so far). My best office buddy/colleague left for another company last week - good for him as he is now in very friendly space, it’s hard work, but whole different league in terms of company level. So we’re one person down, more work to do and no replacement in sight. I still have two other colleagues which I like as my siblings, but… Our boss is such a trash person! He’s selfish prick with unsatiable god complex, never admits he’s wrong and boy oh boy, he’s wrong a lot. And it’s getting worse and worse as he gets older.

So thank the OP for good read of some positivity, which is pretty much lacking in my day to day basis.

This bad boy was THE bane of one of my teachers. On her defence, she was old, probably over retirement age, but she just could not make this thing work. Ever. She usually turned it on, but left the cover closed. Or tried to turn it on while AC cable was unplugged. Or turned it on, but put everything in it mirrored. Or turned it on, placed everything right, but fucked up focus so it was blurry. It just never ever worked out for her…

Well, I did not even know this. And I’ve played HELL OF A LOT of Diablo 2 over LAN years and years ago. But ever since then I’ve had no use for LAN play… LAN parties were a thing decade and half ago (at least where I live) and playing with my game buddy was simplified over internet (steam, battle.net). I still remember dark days of convincing Hamachi to work…

While Denuvo is bad, there’s light on the end, because it will get removed from the game 100% in the future (due to licensing costs).

I agree remasters are hit or miss.

Take Diablo 2 for example, which is epic level of remaster. The game is virtually identical to the original. It’s just working better on modern hardware and can be played in high resolution with shinier graphics. But you can still turn it to (almost) 1:1 copy of original with single keypress. I’m all for this.

And now take Warcraft 3 remaster from the “same Blizzard”… This is an example of how things should NOT be done.

Given both these coming from the same company, there’s no telling in how any remaster will turn out in the end. Which is… not very reassuring?
