And that’s how I earned the nickname pigpen on a camping trip.
Anything in particular I should be wary of switching from Mint to Mint DE?

Done? Now you get to memorize tree species and become “that guy who measures the trees.”

What we need are makerspace-backed hyperlocal recycling projects. A much more expensive but much more effective method to recycle the same PET bottle would involve a plastic shredder and proper filament extruder. And old 3D prints? Sort them by color and material, they can go through the exact same process. Pulltruders can still be a useful tool, but more for education and spreading awareness than a practical source for filament.

I would suspect some sort of scheme bringing cans from a neighboring state or whatever without a deposit. Just one more reason to wish for a national deposit program in the US.

We collected enough signatures opposing to get an item on the ballot in 2026. The fight definitely isn’t over but I’m proud that we’re successfully fighting back in a state as red as this.

It massively frustrates me when people point to corporations “carbon footprint” campaigns and argue that all the change needs to come from them. They hold massive blame, but if you let yourself imagine it’s only corporations fault you won’t be prepared to make changes when they’re necessary.

hash@slrpnk.netto Fuck Cars@lemmy.ml•Would you consider this an expensive bike share?English0·2 months agoMy local bike share is a screaming deal. No upcharge for electric bikes. 3 dollars for a single trip, 20 dollars for a month pass, or 75 for a year. Yet I still see people on those overpriced rental scooters as if they aren’t just a tourist attraction at this point.
So that’s why every stargate planet looks like Canada

I absolutely report all of my cryptocurrency that the government would need to break PKI to trace back to me. I would never violate laws that I could rely on never being caught violating.
