  • Had a lot of fun with both Horizon 4 & 5, great mix of arcade and sim. Tons of cars, just about everything is viable. Lots of accessibility options, should be a good fit for just about anyone.

Forza Motorsport (2023) on the other hand is a massive disappointment. Avoid. Driving dynamics are good and more simmy, but everything else is a downgrade from its 7 year old predecessor. Kind of amazing how terrible it is. Apparently Microsoft had developers constantly rotating out on short contracts and it shows.

  • Wireless isn’t a requirement and connectivity seems slow to be adopted anyhow according to this source.

If we agree that connectivity is a good thing, why has the adoption rate been so slow?

The first required piece is an actual connection between the device and the airplane. This connection can be wired or wireless. It’s now possible to have a wireless access point that’s dedicated to the crew. A wireless connection will need to include security capabilities so users can prove their identity to the wireless network. Let’s not forget that security must also be practical for in-service use. A wired connection is generally seen as more secure, since there has to be physical access from the flight deck, which is considered a secure domain.

I’m pretty tolerant of most foods but Brussels sprouts are disgusting. It’s one of the dozen or so foods I dislike, and despite trying every couple years, they’ve never caught on for me. They remind me of cabbage which is another one of the dozen. Oddly, I really enjoy fermented cabbage be it sauerkraut or kimchi. Cauliflower is decent but I’ll agree it’s pretty bland at best.
