Stalin talks about national struggles not inter-national struggles. While yes a bourgeois movement can be anti-imperialist it also has to be fighting for the sovereignty of its own country not for foreign soil.
While this war produces some anti-imperialist outcomes, they’re only a secondary effect caused by the nature of inter-imperialist wars where both imperialist sides weaken eachother.
The core nature of this war is only anti-imperialist as far as the class conscious proletariat of each side fights against the imperialist aims of its own state (and their hegemons in the case of Ukraine).
Russia is not waging this war to free Ukrainian people from capital and imperialism as it might claim (if so why is Russia not fighting capitalism within itself?). It’s waging this war to extend the sphere of influence of its own bourgeoisie, hence it’s imperialist despite the side effects
Every war waged between capitalist states (with the exception of national liberatory struggle) is an imperialist war. Funnily enough applying Stalin’s ideas in Foundations of Leninism to the current situation makes the Ukrainian population opposing both western and eastern imperialists the anti-imperialist forces in this war, even if they are influenced by bourgeois ideology (this of course excludes pro-nato elements)

You keep posting the same stuff proving western influence in Ukraine sure this is true yet you still fail to respond to my point that Russia is not representing any form of a proletarian struggle against bourgeois influence. Yes it struggles against western bourgeois influence BUT it does that by replacing it with IT’S OWN bourgeois influence! What does it have to do with anything anti imperialist (which means opposition to EVERY bourgeoisie)?
Russia can both oppose western imperialism and be imperialist itself is it too hard to comprehend?

You keep looking down on our russian comrades with this other statement. What if I told you that Russia has way more probability to become socialist again than the whole European countries(that are actively rushing into fascism)?
It is better to take a step back on your contempt and investigate what russian comrades have achieved so far.
So your whole argument is that I’m supposed to support Russia because it has the possibility of turning socialist? How does that dismiss ANY of the arguments against this war denouncing it as imperialist?
Okay another argument is Ukrainian warcrimes (especially those against Donbass and part of the population that likes Russia). You obviously haven’t heard “two wrongs don’t make a right”
The Russian bourgeoisie has taken a contradictory stance with regard to the LDPR: on the one hand, it provided military and economic aid to the Donbass republics, but on the other hand, it did not politically recognize them and did not incorporate them into the Russian Federation like Crimea, but went to recognize the legitimacy of the pro-fascist Turchinov-Poroshenko-Zelensky puppet regime and signed the Minsk agreements with this regime. This did not bring peace to the LDPR and made the war a latent state on the line of contact for eight years, allowing thus the Ukrainian government to create a strong and Nazi-motivated army that became a threat not only to the LDPR but also to Russia itself.

Might’ve been wrong to question myself there lol. Her argument revolves around “Well Russia was provoked so they’re actually fighting an anti imperialist war” and the predisposition you’ve to have in order to agree with her argument is that you believe most or at least a big part of the official Russian narrative.
Even if Russia really was provoked and is fighting for it’s own sovereignty (by invading another country? but ok) then it’s still a capitalist nation that’s preying upon the nostalgia of its Soviet past and it’s absolutely not becoming even slightly more communist by the day. Why should I care whether it’s the thirteen colonies or the British empire that wins the American civil war?

While China is obviously not as bad as the US or European social democracies it neither is a socialist state nor even a dictatorship of the proletariat (capital seeks to control every state it’s operating under!) how can you speak of a dictatorship of the working class when the CPC has bourgeois members within it?

The October revolution happened exactly because Lenin was against the WWI “During a reactionary war a revolutionary class cannot but desire the defeat of its government.” He saw the opportunity it created for social change and took it. The first thing the soviets did when they came to power was leaving the war
