ah, maybe it only defaults to it on web
frankly just relieved they didn’t get turbocancer
…though they might just develop normal cancer, we’ll just have to wait and see
i honestly really like dymaxion because it’s a nice aspect ratio and keeping the landmasses all together just feels right.
And it doesn’t even look strange if you just remove the ocean

except that continents quite plainly aren’t just about landmasses, they’re defined by culture as well. Hence why most people these days consider “oceania” a continent, and why india and the middle east don’t really fit smoothly into any standard continent.
what? google maps absolutely has a globe view when you zoom out
don’t worry, we’re doing our best to literally make it true via cars and architecture.
you can have any colour you like, so long as it’s grayscale or maybe red.

1·11 天前while “sabbath mode” does indeed seem to be real, i cannot imagine this is something that sees any serious amount of usage, and i’d imagine most rabbis would tell you it’s kind of silly because the point of sabbath is to not do work, and these appliances specifically exist so we don’t have to do work.
If you start considering “putting food in the microwave and turning a dial to start it” as violating sabbath, you quite obviously then also can’t go around turning door handles or using keys, or taking on/off clothes, or filling a glass of water, etc etc etc

1·11 天前this is why i stick to cheapo devices unless there’s a specific feature in expensive ones that i want: they generally achieve the low cost by making a minimum viable product, which thus lacks all the complex nonsense and is often pretty repairable as a bonus.
Power dial, time dial. All a microwave or an air fryer needs.

0·12 天前as i’ve come to realize from trying to troubleshoot why my speakers sometimes give me a headache, it turns out none of this makes the slightest fucking difference if people can’t master their audio for shit.
So many youtubers are putting out borderline unlistenable videos, and then i find the one person who doesn’t fuck it up and holy fuck i can actually hear what they’re saying

well maybe that’s why they didn’t come to Hawking’s party, they’d have to strip him and it’s not like he has use for a motorcycle.

maybe i’m just weird but if i’m not wearing underwear my jewels uncomfortably hang down the leg. Much more comfortable to have a lose cup of fabric keeping them slightly contained.
