“Ladies and gentlemen, with great pleasure, I give you RoboCop 2.”
Oh wait, are we doing quotes that aren’t in the actual movie?

Well that was quick. Kinda get the feeling Carney didn’t outright reject the invite knowing that Trump would revoke it out of pettiness sooner or later. Now Trump feels like he “got him” while really he did exactly what we wanted him to do.

Adopting the Euro isn’t required for being a member of the EU. UK used to be a member of the EU after all, and they never used the Euro.

He did… but just one sentence: “And on AI, we’re co-operating with like-minded democracies to ensure that we won’t ultimately be forced to choose between hegemons and hyperscalers.”
And Carney was only invited to be on the board, but it seems we’re not going to be paying the billion dollars Trump is demanding. So it doesn’t seem likely that’s going to happen.
I legit think streaming sites have become worse than video rental places.
It seemed like a big advantage that you could have unlimited number movies on a streaming site while a video rental store had limited shelf space. But it turns you you have to scroll through endless pages of crap to try to find something you actually want to watch.
Also the shops would eventually have any movie you want to watch. With streaming sites many things will never appear there because the corporation that owns the movie owns their own streaming site and will keep it exclusive to them. In the past it wasn’t a thing where you’d have to keep track of which video rental shop had the rights to rent the movie you want to watch.
There was a time when it was just Netflix and pretty much anything would come on there eventually. That killed video rental. But it’s been a long time since you could find everything on one streaming site, and it’s gotten to be more expensive and time consuming to find a good movie to watch, so going to a video rental shop might actually make more sense now. But they’re all gone now.
Luckily there are websites with dubious legality you can find everything on. I’m willing to pay for a streaming site that’s actually convenient, but they don’t exist anymore, just like Blockbuster.

Summary of white nationalism: You’re special because your race is the best. The reason why things suck for you isn’t because you’re a loser. It’s because the bad races made you feel like you’re not special. But they’re liars. You don’t need to improve yourself, you’re special because of your race.

My grandparents killed Nazis and were willing to nuke the Commies if they crossed the line. They had a lot of experience in fighting in urban combat so nobody dared to fuck them over. They were radical centrists were they not? Under radical centrism we achieved the peak of human prosperity.

The US always wins the invasion but pretty much always loses the occupation.
Air power isn’t how you win, because it’s hard to hide a jet fighter. Assault rifles, RPGs, IEDs and a willingness to fight longer than they’re willing to is what’s needed to win the occupation.
Americans forget that Canadians served in Afghanistan. But I don’t. I know someone who diffused IEDs over there, pretty sure he knows how to build them if needed.

That would be a violation of the Ottawa treaty.
And landmines don’t actually stop an army, they just slow it down and inhibit maneuver.
The supplementary reserve of 300,000 citizen soldiers that’s being planned is a better idea. There would be no stopping a US invasion, but 300,000 resistance fighters ensures the US would lose the occupation, as it usually does.

You don’t realize the damage he’s doing to the US in general?

It’s difficult to know who’s a dissident and who’s a spy or terrorist.
Iran just threatened to kill the leader of another country. Yeah fuck Trump and all that, but you aren’t going to open the doors to anyone from a country that’s issuing threats, especially a country that’s complicit in a lot of terrorist acts.
Russia is engaged in a sabotage campaign in Europe, so the reasons for blocking Russians from Europe is similar.

Do you think complaining on the internet will fix things?
Voting is an action people can do. Once people are able to do some form of action, they could be encouraged to further action. Americans are currently below the bar of even voting. You think they’re going to do more than voting if they can’t even do that?
Y’all are so much in love with the romanticized myth of the American revolution you believe that if you write some pretty words about freedom and equality there will be another “clean revolution” that will solve all of your problems. The reality is that your “founding fathers” were slave masters, their pretty words were hypocrisy meant to fool regular people into fighting and dying so that the wealthy slave masters could get wealthier by killing the indigenous people living to the west and taking their land. People were tortured for any dissent, there were massive numbers of refugees from the US during the revolution because of how oppressive the government was.
All of your rights actually came from voting, not from the bullshit fairy tale about “founding fathers” they indoctrinated you into believing from a very young age.

That’s the message that won the GOP the last election. Are being paid by them, or did you just believe someone else paid by the GOP who told you not to vote?

Is it a threat to another country if you move your military further away from your border with them?

Be honest if aliens from space showed up and just abducted Trump and put him into space prison, how angry would you be about that?

This makes me think you’re a bot shilling hope that isn’t real
This makes me think you’re a bot shilling apathy to prevent the GOP from losing.

France, UK and most of Europe are part of NATO and in recent days have sent small military forces to Greenland to show that, unlike the US, they will honour their alliances.
Trump is trying to break NATO because it’s what daddy Putin wants him to do.

It doesn’t really make sense to. The idea of a sending a token force is to act as trip-wire. A trip-wire force is there so if they’re attacked, it means war. In that case, those soldiers would be reinforced. They’re the tip of the spear.
If Canada sent a trip-wire force in Greenland, those soldiers would not be be expecting reinforcements if attacked by the US. Because Canada is on the border with the US there would be fighting much closer to the aggressor than where the trip-wire forces are. So it would be sending soldiers to Greenland and telling them if attacked by the US they will die with no hope of reinforcement.
You put trip-wires on your outer defenses between you and your enemy. You don’t put them far away from the front-lines of a potential conflict. Doing that is just telling soldiers to either die or surrender if attacked.
Remember they’re soldiers not some pawns on a chessboard that you sacrifice for a phony political statement. Really what would be the plan to reinforce Canadian soldiers sent to Greenland if they were attacked by US forces?

It’s not even former allies. Denmark is a current ally according to treaties that are signed into US law. Sure the US is effectively no longer part of NATO but all of the official reasons for invading Greenland could be accomplished by Trump admitting some agreements made by past Presidents were actually good.
This is all because one deranged old child molester wants to put his name on the map and a whole bunch of people are too gutless to admit that’s what’s going on.
What’s this woke nonsense? Most of those helium atoms started life as hydrogen atoms. Therefore they shouldn’t be considered to be helium atoms!
