21·15 days agoYeah I’m glad it’s not a vital part of the experience but don’t mind that it’s there for people who like it. Kind of like card games in real life. :)
I do not understand this at all… but I respect it.
Am I the only one that avoids Gwent altogether when playing Witcher? Like, I don’t go to that world to play cards, if I’m loading it up it’s cause it’s swords and magic time.

0·3 months agoYeah but how do you consult those rules? How often are they updated? How do you get notified of updates?
The fact that there are no answers to these questions and therefore everyone is working with mismatching rule sets makes the whole thing useless. You can be totally well meaning and still piss off a server because somehow you don’t know what the currently acceptable magic number is.
I recently visited the states for the first time in a decade and didn’t find out until afterwards that 15% is now considered by some people to be “low”. Sorry everyone who I tipped, I shafted you without realizing it. 🤷♂️

Nooooo, was just watching Future Imperfect with a friend the other day and when she showed up I was like, “Yaaaay, Nurse Ogawa!” and then found out while cehcking Memory Alpha afterwards that that ep was actually her first appearance. For a character with so little screentime, I always really liked her and wish we’d seen more of her. RIP Patti, we’ll raise a glass in Ten Forward to ye!

1·1 year agoContent leaving is totally a problem. I’ve lost track of the number of times my spouse and I say, “Oh hey, what about we finally watch xyz that’s been in our queue for ages? Yeah that seems like a good one for Friday pizza night! …oh, it’s vanished from our queue, hooray.”
It’s not my full time job to keep tabs on what’s coming and going from the damn entertainment service that I hope to use in my ever dwindling reserves of free time. Especially when there’s alternative means available that are not too difficult to use.
It’s a reference to an X-Files episode, one of the few where they swapped out the ‘Trust No One’ text in the opening credits.
