I just hope that fat orange piece of shit finally has something come out that even being wealthy can’t protect him from the consequences of. There was never a time in American history where checks and balances actually protected the rights of anyone. Nothing we are seeing today is new. This is how the system has always worked. Also hierarchical authority is incapable of fighting corruption.

Cuomo is one of those politicians whose appeal completely baffles me. He comes across as self-serving to the core. He is exactly the kind of opportunistic, power-obsessed figure people usually say they can’t stand in politics. What’s the draw? The draw must be limited, since NYC rejected him in favor of Mamdani twice, but still.

Cuomo did not do well, but I was surprised he did even as well as he did. It IS a beacon of light that at least one of these pieces of crap got replaced by someone who seems to actually care about something outside of themselves.

Again, justify that accusation. You don’t know a fucking thing about me. I’ll give you some information you don’t deserve, and the only thing I want to see in response is an apology or a real argument as to what in the actual fuck your problem is.

I am married to someone who has an autoimmune issue. Health insurance for my family is mandatory. I get that insurance for her through a job I hate so much I fantasize about getting into a wreck on the way into work because then I wouldn’t have to go. Together we developed a plan that would allow me to do a career change that would allow me to switch careers into something that DOESN’T make me dread damn near every waking moment. That just got taken away. Stolen away. Given to Nazis in exchange for NOTHING.

What about that screams bootlicker to you? What about that is so hard to believe that I might be sad? What the fuck do you fucking know about ANYTHING? Explain yourself instead of cowering behind these vagaries, apologize, or just have the good graces to shut your mouth and stop responding at all.

Between that and their apparent desire to try to kick obviously hurting people when they are down, maybe they ought run for office themselves. Would fit right in.

I really hope there is, that he’s successful and becomes a blueprint for a better way forward. I’m just really close to having totally lost hope.
