I saw the movie. Nice but a bit disappointing. The begin is good, the atmosphere are there and the actors did a good job… but the scare never arrived. I can agree on the “head trip” part, but not so much on the “Lovecraftian” one.

It is. Basically, It’s a story about a film that destroys the mind of anyone who watches it, similar to the ‘King in Yellow’ book. It’s not about curses or magic, but rather something so indescribable and beyond human comprehension that simply experiencing it causes people to lose something in the process.
