As someone who learns japanese. Is that a kanji for a honorific? probably kun? ゆうじ is the name, although weird that it is written in hiragana I guess… But I fail at this one 海行こうぜ

The first Kanji has the one for mother as part of it I think… And the second one is pronounced it ‘i’ so …iikouze ? Let’s go somewhere?

Sadly the german fansubbing scene basically evaporated when simulcast became a thing. 15 years ago you got some amazing subs, with signs translated (even when moving through the screen) and cultural information shown when it was needed to understand a scene or joke

Yeah, that was what I assumed. For now Duolingo still uses the ご hiragana for the go part in Nihongo. And the Kanji for べんきょ wasn’t introduced yet

Damn, I’ve been learning for half a year and was thrilled to try and read that, but I’m missingbthe Kanjis 勉強. I assume they are the Kanjis for learn (minus the shimasu at the end). And why did you use the Hana 語 Kanji to say JapanESE ? Is it pronounced go there for form Nihongo? Sorry, don’t have the Japanese alphabet loaded into my keyboard yet

They don’t. Ids in Jellyfin are based on the path of the file, so easily guessable with a sufficiently large rainbow table
