Because actual lube works better?

Because actual lube works better?
As a person with an irritable bladder. 90%+ of the time a public washroom or easily accessible washroom would be preferred and would stop me from peeing on random shit.

Yeah, 100%. The false dichotomy and the first past the post system really hurts us. Sadly getting that changed is something people don’t focus on enough. We were “supposed to” have electoral reforms under the prior liberal leadership, but everyone forgot to bring it up ever again.
But saying they are “the same” really pushes that they are both “equally acceptable”. Which I feel undermines the system even further. We need to emphasize the better then push them away from the worse. Right now they ratchet to worse because voters move with the “center” which is a sliding scale. As long as people feel they are equally “bad” then there isn’t a big push to change things the same way as if they go “they both suck here is why one sucks more and let’s push the better one to be better in areas they suck in” or "let’s vote what we believe and stop being “stratigic” which would show parties where they actually should move to

Not true, PP would also be directly and purposefully eroding minority rights and be attacking the vulnerable. Carney is at least leaving them alone. As a minority that is being directly targeted in the states right now I am really happy to be in Canada with a PM that isn’t spreading active hate towards me right now. Instead I live in a province where that’s happening. I will take only one level of government hating me.

That’s the second stage from skinrunners. The third is skincyclists.

Didn’t Wesley go to some special testing that had the geniuses competing for one specific seat. I recall he basically went there because there happened to be a particular available slot rather than just the general admission.
From the episode:
Captain’s log, stardate 41416.2. We’re orbiting Relva Seven, where Wesley Crusher is about to be tested for entrance into Starfleet Academy.
CHANG: I’m proud of all of you. You’ve done a superb job. Each of you would make a fine Starfleet officer. It’s unfair that only one candidate from Relva will attend the Academy this year, and a loss to the Federation if the rest of you do not return to test again. Mister Mordock will be the candidate. His results were slightly higher than Mister Crusher’s. Congratulations, Mister Mordock. You’re the first Benzite in Starfleet.
So I think it has much more to do with the timing of his attempt that mattered. Had he just waited with everyone else it wouldn’t have been such an intense competition

SEATO apparently. Did not know that existed

They have a certain amount of time with this vote to actually do anything with it. The timing of this vote will allow them to negotiate over the summer with the mandate in their back pocket and have the actual strike potentially be in the fall as school is supposed to be coming back.
They do it now because it becomes really hard to organize a vote as soon as summer hits.

As an Albertan, yes, that is the goal of way too much of this Provence. Too many think we are already just like Texas. Send help…
Can you think of any other way that seems likely?

Ha! As a life long Albertan. We have had this cancer for a very very long time. Up until the NDP won an election a few cycles back the way it tended to work was the only way to unseat a conservative government was with an even more conservative government.

I wish Canada didn’t burn fossil fuels for power but as an Albertan I can promise you that we do.

Specifically from Tim Hortons, which despite not having been Canadian in ages still gets treated like a Canadian icon.
But as a result yeah, often referred to that way in common culture.

Generally in lakes it’s more people boating who drown. They are far from shore and can get hurt in a capsize easily

As a Canadian it looks like a timbit being used for scale

Those still exist, you are just not invited to them 😛

They hand waved away the holodeck power thing in Voyager by days something along the lines of it is a different type of power that wasn’t worth trying to convert to normal power for some reason. Basically just another Voyager excuse to ignore the premises of the show unless they happen to be bored that day.

I am 39 years old and my egg just cracked. I can’t imagine how it must feel being stuck but there is lots of time left for you to get where you are going. Keep going strong, it gets better I swear.
They are rebel military governors of a station that seceded from the earth government. The media in question is a part of a propaganda wing of an anti-democratic authoritarian government they are under blockade and misinformation campaign from.
By no means are they saints nor are they anything but military governors at this point. But in their defense the station was a military installation and they later go on to form a democratic government and cede control of the station back to it. So it’s definitely a show that has a stand up to those giving immoral and illegal orders vibe. Not saints, definitely military and wield it heavily sometimes. But overall the message is one of following the democratic process and respecting the freedom of the press.
The rest of the episode is centered around Sheridan allowing the freedom of the press and then getting burned in the end by the propaganda machine twisting everything that is said an seen to their own advantage. But still ends on the note that they were right to open up and right to believe in continuing to be open.
You mean the black line labeled both options that wraps the whole continent?
