My mother uses some software that runs in the browser for her shop. It can print out receipts and scan items. To do these things it has a small “sattelite” application that runs on the system and interacts with the printer and scanner. This software only runs on Windows and Linux doesn’t have drivers for the scanner.

When I switched her over to Linux and found this out in the process I wanted to stop, give up and install windows.

But then I had a stupid idea. I could run the sattelite program in a Windows VM and pass through the USB devices for receipt printer and scanner. The webapp uses requests to localhost:9998 to communicate with the sattelite so I set up a apache server that proxies these requests into the VM. I also prevented the VM from acessing the Interner so Windows doesn’t update and screw everything up.

And it works. It has been in use for a week now and I’ve heard no complaints. I’m just praying to god it doesn’t break

I am now all-in on bcachefs. I don’t like btrfs, cause you still sometimes read about people loosing their data. I know that might happen with bcachefs too since it’s early days still but fuck it. I like the risk.

Meine Frage war: Warum soll mir das Israel Thema nicht am Sack vorbei gehen?

Okay und warum?

Mit dem Israel Thema kenn ich mich nicht aus und es geht mir auch am Sack vorbei. Meiner Meinung nach ist das nen Ding, was die Medien nutzen um die Menschen weiter zu spalten in pro und Antisemitisch. Mir sind die Probleme im einenen Land erstmal wichtiger.

Und Wagenknecht lutscht Putin nicht am Sack aber das kannst du sehen wie du willst.

Ich habe das bereits getan. Allerdings habe ich mir angehört was Wagenknecht und ihre Partei von sich geben und nicht was Dritte, die bereits sowieso dagegen sind darüber denken. Das ist wahrscheinlich warum wir so verschiedene Auffassungen über diese Partei haben

Ich sehe du hast ein sehr anderes Bild von der Politik wie ich. Das die AFD Demokratiefeindlich ist, ist denke ich nicht zu bestreiten. Allerdings BSW? Weiß ich ja nicht brudi. Die haben zwar in manchen Dingen ähnliche forderungen wie die AFD aber meißtens aus anderen Gründen. Wagenknecht hat sich auch öfters öffentlich gegen Putin ausgesprochen und gesagt, dass sie den Krieg verurteilt. Ich denke es ist eine Demokratisch vertretbare Meinung ein Ende der Waffenlieferungen zu fordern. Ich teile diese Meinung nicht weil dann die Ukraine Land verliert, allerdings würde ich sie nicht als demokratiefeindlich bezeichnen.

Wieso 22% für demokratiefeinde? AFD hat doch nur 16.5. Das einzige was passen würde, ist wenn man es mit BSW zusammen rechnen würde aber bei allen dingen für die man die Partei kritisieren kann ist Demokratiefeindlichkeit nicht wirklich darunter
