I am using wallabag since a long time (selfhosted). And I am loving it. With the Android app I can simply share to the app to save Websites from any Browser. But I have no experience with Readdeck.

Climate - truthful information about climate, related activism and politics.@slrpnk.net•Should we treat environmental crime more like murder?0·2 个月前Yes please! Jail them, and let them pay! Why should we as ordinary people pay if the big polluters like the oil and gas industry lied for decades and made their ceo’s rich? Use the money for measures against climate change and to help the poor. The poor people are hit the hardest by climate change and will have to pay in blood and misery…

And my dad allways called them “Hall im Arsch” 😄

Global News@lemmy.zip•UK to ban sale of disposable vapes in response to soaring waste and safety risks
0·7 个月前Can’t upvote this post enough! There was a clear strategy through misleading information and regulation to shove the ecig market to the big players (Tobaco industry). And those big players used that to get the youth hooked on their shitty disposable vapes. It could have been a tool to help many many smokers. But it was enshityfied like everything the big industry lobbies touch.
I used a usb-c external SSD drive. Worked like a charm and I even could run starcitizen from that with no remarkable performance drop. Once I was settled with linux I just installed the external SSD internally.

Linux@lemmy.ml•Massive data backup question: What Linux software do you folks recommend for helping sort out and organize terabytes of files and remove duplicates?
0·8 个月前I use backrest selfhostet on my server running yunohost. It is pretty much set and forget. I love it.

German Linux Magazin Form 2005.
Not using other social media annymore. Lemmy was my first introduction to the fediverse. Now I am also using Mastodon and experiment with a hubzilla hub on my homeserver.

0·1 年前Not foss but if you need good maps and a ton of features look into locus maps. I really like it for hiking as you can save offline maps and with brouter you also have offline routing.

Yep thanks Yahoo, disgusting… Donated some so that they can pay the employes and thinking about getting a metager key.
So I have no clue about the Steamdeck but as far as I know there should be a desktop mode. Maybe you can than install Lutris which has the possibility to include GOG games.

I am using restic and backrest on my yunohost server and I really like it! It is really set up and forget for me. Only the uploads to backblaze b2 are still triggered manually. Also did a full recovery from the backblaze repo (downloaded locally) without problems.
Also just now heard about Zerobyte it is a backup solution based on restic and looks very good!
