If you go by Gandalf’s age as a Maia in general, he’d be as old as the world. So, roughly 10,000 years, if you don’t account for the fact that the Years of the Lamps and the Years of the Trees were longer than a standard year.

If you go by when he showed up in Middle-Earth as Gandalf the Grey in year 1000 of the Third Age he’d be 2018 at the time he confirms Bilbo’s ring is the One and confronts Frodo about it in year 3018 of the Third Age.

Gandalf The Grey would have been 2019 years old when he was mutually slain by Durin’s Bane after falling from the bridge in Khazad-Dum.

Gandalf The White then first appeared a few months later and would be only two years old at the time he sails west with Frodo, Bilbo, Galadriel, and Elrond.

A comment on a thread about a similar topic from a while back. Looks like it might have some useful information for you.

While I can appreciate and support the MS hate, I should probably point out that the Firefox.exe.sig file is a normal part of a Firefox install, it is not the exe, it did not get renamed or encrypted. It’s likely Firefox was in the middle of an update when your system crashed.

There have been several shows that I’ve watched on CR that have been made a lot better by being able to read the comments section. Either because it’s One Piece and there’s always one guy giving you the timestamp to skip the recap or because the series I’m watching is actually pretty bad and a bunch of people are making jokes at the shows expense.

It’s been rare that I’ve seen someone on CR be overly negative or toxic without getting shutdown fast. It’s usually pretty wholesome and fun.

At least for desktop computers, you have the power switch on the back of the PSU. Assuming your PSU is actually ATX compliant and not some proprietary or otherwise non-standard bullshit.

That switch is inline with the AC input and will kill power to the device completely.

If you go that route, and assuming you’re in the US, I’d recommend looking for a government civilian job rather than a contractor position. The pay will be slightly lower, but you’ll have pretty steady pay increases year-to-year, the benefits will almost certainly be better, and you’ll have better job security.

The major downside will be that you’ll likely wind up working for/with a bunch of people who are just trying to keep their heads down and coast until retirement. A major upside will be that you’ll almost certainly be able to retire comfortably.

I’m currently using this. It doesn’t appear to have a way to auto import a list of subscriptions. But it fits all of OPs other requests. It also has a jellyfin add on to import the videos into a library there with title and thumbnail.

I like to be able to sing along to songs when I’m alone in the car, so even if I don’t understand the meaning of the words, I like to know the words.

I also enjoy word play, and Du Hast has some of that. So knowing the bit of trivia about ‘Hast’ and ‘Hasst’ being homophones in German and meaning ‘have’ and ‘hate’ respectively, and the main portion of the lyrics being wedding vows adds a layer of enjoyment to the song for me.

Honestly, if you don’t have the time to tinker and learn the system you’d probably have a pretty bad time with Linux.

Pretty much regardless of distro or DE, you are going to find games that either outright will fail to run or will require some tinkering and additional troubleshooting on your part to get them to run. Nvidia GPU support, while improving, is still pretty lackluster. Especially if you want things like raytracing or DLSS.

Also, it’ll be an entirely new OS, with its own learning curve just to figure out how to do basic things.

If you only have two hours a week to game and you want to be able to just jump into a game, know that it’s going to work, and not worry about it, I wouldn’t even say stick with Windows. I’d say stick with game consoles. All of the current gen consoles have some pretty good accessibility features for people who visually impaired.

All of that said, if you still wanted to try out a Linux distro, since your main focus is gaming, I’d recommend Bazzite. It’s generally pretty stable, is very easy to rollback if an update breaks something, and has a version that is preconfigured for nvidia gpus. In its installer you can choose your DE, I’d say go with KDE, since it has all of the accessibility features you listed, you’d just need to enable them in settings.
