“You don’t owe the world being pretty as rent for existing as a woman.” The same goes for reproduction, childcare, or any other unpaid labor.

By virtue of being human you are owed the bare minimum basic rights of dignity and respect to your personhood.

You never need to apologize for being a woman and anyone who acts like you do, especially if you dare not conform to their ideals, can go lick the bottom of a crusty shoe.

I finally landed on a sleep pattern that (mostly) alleviates/prevents my chronic migraines and today I got all of 45 minutes and haven’t been able to get a wink since. Think Green Day’s Brain Stew.

Trying to keep my meds and routines as much as possible and hopefully stay up/sleep in to where I need to but I worry I’m screwed for the next week or so.

Not sure what the late American music artist, XXXTentacion (left) has to do with this, but it did spur me to look up and find out that Republican former New York representative George Santos (right) has recently been sentenced for his fraudulent political campaign.

Capitalism does prioritize engagement and spending by exploiting short-term dopamine rushes, so in a way kinda-sorta yes?

ADHD as a clinical diagnosis though is the chronic inability for the brain to absorb/retain dopamine; a neurological or chemical issue that isn’t “caused” by behavior. Severe enough and you get to the point where you desperately want to play a video game or watch a show but can’t even press the start button 🥲

I’m so glad I’m not the only one. The stereotype of impulse buying is overshadowed by the compulsive need to absolutely make sure the dopamine high off the product is worth the money spent.

Excellent points :) I do use Libby through my local library for reading e-books so it’s a great suggestion.

I do this because all too often book print is tiny whereas I can adjust font size on a digital page.

I love physical books, but accessibility is sometimes a problem.
