I look forward to the possibility of them wasting money and losing this case.
I look forward to the possibility of them wasting money and losing this case.
I was recently looking for something like this and couldn’t find what i was looking for, so thanks!
Very true, i had a vet that barely looked at my cat and after getting a second opinion and looking things up online, i realized that he sucked.
His vet closed a year after. Def not a bad idea to hear others experiences
Ah ok so from what im hearing, because the kernal on the deck hasn’t been updated with a codec that you prefer for these headphones, they sound worse. That sucks man. I would hope it wouldn’t be the same case for other distros but if your headphones are newer that can make it more difficult to have compatibility. Takes a while for Linux to catch up on most stable distributions is my understanding.
And I use Reaper! Love Reaper a ton, clean and easy to use daw for $60 bucks (small business/personal use) I’m currently on Fedora 40.
I’m a musician who is just getting started producing on Linux. I haven’t had issues with audio aside from my audio interface not being compatible due to have software control for hardware which i hated anyways. Using a focuarite interface now and its been good. Pulseaudio has been pretty solid for a while now which is what the steamdeck uses from what i can see online.
Both my mic and headphones have worked great with all distros I’ve tried. That said, sometimes stuff just doesn’t wanna play well with Linux, even if it seems like it should and im typically not using bluetooth devices on Linux for audio so im not as familiar with issues they may have.
You might try another set of headphones to see if its an issue with the headohones themselves. And or, try them with a different distro/pc because it may be a issue with the deck itself.
Older thinkpads would come to mind, usually a good option. Generally affordable, repairable, and can be good for Linux.
I tried umbrel and wasnt super impressed. It seemed like it would function alright for the small amount of things i was trying to do but broke shortly after installing. I set up pihole and i think jellyfin since i was just testing it out on an older laptop.
I’ve heard decent things about CasaOS but have not used it myself.
I like a certain level of quality when it comes to audio.
When I’m making music, I use in ear monitors from shure with a flat response because it would throw off my mixes otherwise. Same with my presonus speakers. Flat response.
But for causally watching content, its fine for me to use some bookshelf speakers or even a bluetooth speaker. Its not super important for watching content for me as long as its not total trash.
Meds do help in my case. My issues was not procrastination so much as id procrastinate and then forget about it.
Meds help me remember to do things and stay more organized but they don’t make it super easy, just easier. I think the biggest thing is they make me feel awake. Before meds, i always felt like i was tired. Probably because my brain was always in overdrive.
Feeling awake helps motivate me to get stuff done.
I’m using amphetamine salts or generic adderall
Brother printers are your best bet. And maybe try sudo.
I will have to give this a go then on Fedora because i would rather not reinstall for a third time since switching lol. I appreciate the advice.
When i last checked, the copr for yabridge was out of date but i was looking at this months ago and its also entirely possible i was looking in the wrong place or was reading information that was out of date.
Again, very much appreciate the help. Linux is still a new thing for me so any help is always welcome.
I have looked at Fedora jam, my issue with it is the same issue I currently have with no way to use yabridge that I could find though this may have chnaged since i last looked.
AV linux does look promising, just haven’t deep dived on it yet. My concern was that its done by a single dev iirc but again i haven’t done a deep dive quite yet.
And also a huge fan of reaper. Been using it for years now and I love it so very solid recommendations. I appreciate it. :)
Welcome brother.
Yea I switched from Windows to Fedora and aside from issues with music production, I have been happy with the switch. Its a weight off my mind knowing i dont have to worry about Windows stealing my data anymore.
I’m probably going to be switching to Ubuntu or something Ubuntu based since it seems it will be a bit easier to work with for making music. Not that Fedora hasnt been great in general but i think my specific needs like having yabridge for Windows vsts is making me consider switching.
Thats how they get around paying him.
What are you doing step-LAN?
My advice is start slow and dont hurt yourself in the name of fitness. Its better to take a day off if your legs really hurt so that your body has time to heal rather than “work through the pain”.
And eat enough to fuel the new cardio. Doesnt do you much good if you arent giving your body enough to work with. If your trying to lose weight, slight calorie deficit of about 200 calories is typically recommended.
And listen to some music that pumps you up! Always made me love running. Good luck! You got this :)
Ever since i heard of this concept i was very interested. Love the idea of planting something other than grass that takes less or no water. I think thats awesome so thanks for making these communities!
As for your lawn, we all get busy man. Stuff falls through the cracks. Dishes dont get done, laundry goes unfolded and some shrubs get a bit too long but thats ok.
I’m def a windows hater but i dont fault people for using it. Most folks arent gonna know how to install a diffrent os or even want to if what they have already works.
Use what you like and what works.
Its redhat, nyuk nyuk nyuk. https://www.redhat.com/en/technologies/linux-platforms/enterprise-linux
Or maybe Carmen is a Linux user idk i just work here man.
Oh I’m sure its not gonna do financial damage but setting precedent that they can’t sue everyone and win is a overall win in my book.
