  • I like SMTV, but if you are coming from Persona it is a VERY different experience. Persona is a much more narrative spinoff series from the original SMT franchise. SMT games you are typically alone, with just a party of the monsters you recruit to help you. Consequently there isn’t a whole lot of dialog. There is some story, but in most SMT games it tends to be very back-heavy.

SMT games do tend towards bleak, depressing and extremely difficult. They usually do have multiple narrative paths/endings to give it some replay value. They are really for people who enjoy those kinds of gameplay systems first and foremost.

  • I think the difference there is the distinction as to when the war began.

People say “special military operation” not to try to reframe it as something less than a war, but because it is a part of a war that was already ongoing. It’s a way of referring to specific military actions that took place as part of the larger conflict. The war didn’t start in 2022, if OP had written “DDG admitted shortly after the start of the Ukraine war that they deprioritize…” their statement wouldn’t be true anymore.

Saying SMO isn’t trying to be cheeky or downplay the war, it is just providing a specific point of reference.

  • Yeah it’s pretty much garbage

It’s not even trying to get you to do anything. Just phrased as a bizarre self introduction about how much he likes nuking places. A lot of scams here are phrased in that exact way “Hi, I am name! My hobbies are…”. I used to get about ten text messages like that a day.

Not really sure what the goal of this particular one is. I am not aware of anyone with that name even they’re trying to target.

  • I have always worked in some form of customer service, which has all kinds of…fun moments. Highschool through university I worked in restaurants. Got the full gamut of rude customers, customers rolling in thirty seconds before close, etc. Had a customer try to pay us in cocaine once, which we do not accept as legal tender.

I am in [luxury] hospitality now and have had to deal with all kinds of entitled jerks and celebrities. Including some heads of states that I have very strong negative opinions about. The mid tier CEOs are the worst though, because they think they are far more important than they actually are. Had a guy call the police while he was checking out because he didn’t want “a foreigner” handling his luggage.

Saved us the effort of blacklisting him, because the police obviously escorted him out instead.
