The contracts will cover not only the sale of 50 new aircraft to be produced by Boeing.

Hopefully they fall apart like some of Boeing’s other planes.

the earliest systems being delivered under the contract aren’t expected until the 2026 timeframe

I don’t know that there will be any Gazans left by then if things keep going the way they are.

Its not even nuance now. Israel is just the focal point to maintaining power over the middle east and preserving u.s. interests there.

For all this Israel/palestine bullshit. For all the ignoring genocide and human suffering and atrocities for literal decades. Lets be honest… horrible shit is happening, but the united states is continuing this route for power over a region. Im not happy about any of it. A shit ton of people arent happy about it.

But ive got a bad feeling about it. If there was a reason to abandon this, we would have already done it. I dont think after all this, that this is all about greed or individual personal power for politicians. Theres something about the equilibrium of this situation and bigger pieces moving that make this thing more than what it really is. I fucking hope there are files and locksafes on why this is the right course. The usa is in the wrong on face value 100% and losing a lot of popular opinion continuing this route. But they keep doubling down. I fucking want to know why. That should be the question that we are asking. I unfortunately, reluctantly, hope that there is a bigger game we arent privy to as normal citizens.

I think that the meta game is showing a little bit, where human suffering is consequential to me being a u.s citizen, and where the alternative is so much worse. I sincerely hope this is to avoid something worse, else it is inexcusable.

The fuck else are we supposed to do?

Well you can’t deny the fact of it the reason is really is launching its own little jihad year, reference intentional, is because Netanyahu desperately wants to remain in power, and he needs his ultra right wingers to hang on to his coalition government majority.

As for the American part of the equation, goddamn I hate how much money we’re wasting on this will goddamn thing. But, there are almost certainly factors at play that nobody but the government knows about because they don’t tell anybody anything, even if it’s in the run best interests which it probably isn’t in this case. Which is muddy of course by the fact that they absolutely want to maintain power over the area whether it’s justifiable or not. That’s just how empires are.

But having us with a great big fuck-off stick standing nearby just in case things get out of hand might be enough of a deterrent to prevent somebody kick-starting a literal nuclear war over there. And that’s not something that they’re just going to admit, even if it’s true.

No matter what the hell is going on the government is never going to give this citizen population a complete picture of the facts. And they’ll use that to justify backing Israel at all costs.

Personally, I would love it if we go over there and knock Netanyahu’s teeth down his throat. Unfortunately I don’t think it would make any difference. A significant percentage of the population seems to be completely on board with waging a genocide on Palestine. There are literally pulling a Nazi (check it off on your bingo card) Germany over there with literal death camps.

And none of that even delves into the proxy factor and how Russia and China are/would be over there doing other things as well. Because as we all know very well from history (that is, those of us who bothered to learn it) proxy wars and gray ops between great powers are nothing fucking new.

The answer to why is simple, it’s because of the nukes that Israel definitely does not have in their possession. Because if they have nukes, which they absolutely do not have, it would be pretty bad for everyone if the US were to just abandon them.
