Europe doesn’t care about Maduro international law
FTFY
the most interesting part of international politics, the complex relationships between countries
Oooooh, I see… You’re not a big believer in international law yourself, either.
Like in February 2022 when Russia invaded Ukraine. Yes, Russia and Ukraine have a “complex” relationship, but what matters is the law, not what Putin needs from Kiev. If you can’t see the double standard here then I don’t know what to tell you.
Of course there is a double standard. It’s current reality. That’s my point.
Not only current, double standard have always been politics.
It’s naive to be outraged about it. Powerful can do whatever they want. They always have, but it was more subtle and for a time it almost seemed that the rule of law will someday win. But we completely regressed.
