If there are indeed 25000 mosques and even though I only count Uyghurs as muslims (probably not and probably not all of them are muslims too), that would make approximately 1 mosque per 400 person, which is indeed pretty dense.
However, assimilation is a sly snake. I met different Uyghur people who were able to ran away from Xinjiang and all of them were depressed. They told some disturbing stories. All I really can say is “Where there is no fire, there is no smoke”. Happy people wouldn’t do that.

I don’t trust Western media as well since most known ones are controlled by Jews. Fair enough it’s quite hard to find unbiased news on the internet, close to impossible perhaps. However they are still effective as insights.
