Update: after 3h of constant debugging and trying to fix the master pgp keys (one key was always expired and Blahaj couldnt recreate them) she gave up an is now installing Opensuse instead.
Second Update: after realising, that either I Am stupid, or the OpenSuse Tumbleweed install screen is complete bullshit I found something called ArtiX, that ended up working completely fine and actually worked. That was one hell of a trip.
Where did the shonk find 32 Bit Arch? lol
On the Internet
Oh lol, last time (the day you originally asked) I looked at archlinux32.org and it was down and seemed abandoned.
The site is up, but something is utterly broken
One of us! Although 32-bit. But still welcome!
I did Arch on both of my main machines before and now I got my hands on a very old Toughbook cf30 on which I’m trying to install arch together with a friend and of course nothing works
😅 Good luck! 🫡
We did not succeed and ended up with installing AntiX
Good girl 🤗
32 bit arch linux is much easier to install if you gave access to a 64 bit arch linux to get the keys for you
How the hell do I do this?
Install arch-32 from within arch into whatever storage you’re trying to install it onto.
Basically:
- Have an arch system ready
- Manually install the arch-install-scripts from the arch 32 bit projects repository in a sandbox environment (to avoid putting yourself into a broken, unsupported state)
- Mount the storage to which you’re attempting to install into {sandbox}\mnt\
- Follow the install guide as normal, using the already updated pgp keys from your already working archlinux installation.
- Transplant the storage back into the 32 bit system and pray
That may look like something I could try giving a shot, but I will not get to try it out in the next 4 weeks.
