The cursor randomly enlarges every now and then. Anyone else experiencing the same problem? If so, have you solved it?

Could this be due to using different containers? I use flatpaks for everything apart from a few exceptions where I use distrobox, and in these the Plasma cursor is slightly different, but it doesn’t justify the bug but just a different version of the cursor.

That’s definitely not a bug. Plasma 6.1 introduced an accessibility feature, that helps you find the cursor easier if you shake it for a bit

I am using a different distro and practically no flatpaks or containers and still get this. I suspect a KDE Plasma related bug. Since the mouse cursor goes back to normal in a couple seconds I have let it be for now.

Its a feature. If you shake it, it enlarges.

It seems you shake your mouse a lot?

You can disable it in the settings

Its a feature. If you shake stroke it, it enlarges.

This, I keep explaining to my wife in the bedroom, but it seems I’ll never get that kind of accessibility from her.

This actually isn’t a bug, it’s a KDE feature (literally). It’s so you can shake your mouse to find it. Here’s more detail, but basically to disable:

Uncheck System Settings → Accessibility → Shake Cursor → “Share cursor to find it”
