Because oppessing people is okay as long as you’re the one doing it for totally good reasons! Absolute power TOTALLY won’t corrupt you! Even funnier how a ton of Hexbear tankies showed up to that thread to downvote bomb everyone, just like they’re known for doing. Haven’t changed one bit in the past year or so!

The whole “dictatorship of the proletariat.”
The one “philosophy” I’ve come to find that is more correct more often than others is “people really fucking suck. A LOT of people really fucking suck. People in positions of power or drawn to positions of power REALLY fucking suck.”
I don’t care who runs your dictatorship, it’s going to be abused and atrocities are going to happen. I don’t know how you stop capitalists from corrupting every system you try to implement though which is what they feel that dictatorship is needed for… :/
I always ascribed it to willfully misinterpreted theory. That is, “dictatorship of the proletariat” actually meaning “the proletariat makes the rules, not the capitalists”, as opposed to the M-L “we should have an authoritarian, autocratic state that’s a good thing for… reasons… And oppress people that we don’t like under the guise of being anticapitalist”.
Then again, I’m an anarchist and I’ve seen unironic suggestions from M-Ls to put us in “reservations” as a “solution” to our lack of willingness to accept authoritarian rule. So, maybe I have a more generous interpretation than it deserves.
This is true. It basically means democracy without bourgeois interference
