There is r/meth. A subreddit LITERALLY dedicated to meth, a dangerous addictived substances. And then theres r/GenUsa, subreddit that actually advocates to bomb brown children and supports us imperialism. Reddit quarantined soon-banned r/GenZedong. But not banned r/GenUsa and r/meth.
Srsly fuck reddit
like they said so many years ago about some nazi and pedo communities they had “we banned them because they were becoming too inconvenient not because of morality” im paraphrasing i dont remember what they actually said but it was something like that. they dont care as long as advertisers dont care
That’s basically it. As a federal glow farm, Reddit is essential for pushing propaganda. That becomes difficult if the nazis and pedophiles make themselves too apparent and people start asking questions.
I see people making posts angry at reddit here quite a bit, so I thought Id share some advice.
Whenever I get annoyed at reddit I always remind myself: what happens on reddit is ultimately inconsequential to how this whole geopolitical situation concerning socialism and the multipolar world will play out.
When you hammer that into your head then you’ll feel much better about the stupidity that goes on. The battlefield is not a website full of idiots.
This. Reddit doesn’t matter in the end. The amount of weird shit that gets posted on Belgian subreddits by right wing lunatics is not a reflection of society at all. You could get in fights over the most trivial shit over there.
Meanwhile in real life people are much more balanced and willing to listen to my talking points. You have to keep in mind that online social boards often attract a certain type of miserable people who are terminally online.
Reddit reacts to bad Western press, it’s as simple as that.
Genzedong is threatening their IPO, /r/GenUSA is not
