Power, usb, displayport, audio, some are for the led strip on the back of the monitor, which was controlled by a chinese arduino nano clone until it stopped working for some reason, theres a bunch of periphery and a raspberry pi with its hdd and power supply, etc.
Nice! It seems like the cables are justified. I also ended up on default 12.04 with unity after a half year or so because kde at the time had too many quirky for me. I’ve honestly been wanting to give it another go since plasma 5 came out, but haven’t gotten around to it.

My first distro was probably ubuntu 12.04

I miss the ability to resize icons and the interactive wallpapers, especially the mandelbrot one.
