A meme in which a character asks for economic populism and is offered economic populism at home, above an image of Kamala Harris.

I’ve not heard of social fiscal stability called economic populism before. Ultimately they both mean the same thing: kingdoms based on corporations and board members who are unelected nobility all pays politicians to change the policies that change how we live. Money and unregulated capital spending have diluted democracy and returned people to the Middle ages.

“The people see that things are broken and want change. So what are we going to bring them? More of the same! Wait, why’d we lose?”

It’s so fucking frustrating that the DNC keeps fucking doing this.

They care about money. Being politicians is simply their way of sticking with the bourgeoisie.

The problematic part is that between liberals and the conservatives all around the world it’s usually the conservatives who want and propose more change away from the shittier and shittier status quo.

I’d make the (debatably semantic) argument that liberals, especially neoliberals are conservatives and that those in parties like the GOP and AfD are reactionaries

You know what I find so odd? Her dad is one of Jamaica’s most renowned economists. He’s a highly respected long-time presence in Jamaican economic policy. His academic and policy work is far to her left, and they’re apparently estranged.

I wonder if she’s familiar with her dad’s work. I wonder if she’d been able to sit down and have dinner with him at any point over the last year and ask his thoughts what he would’ve said.

Her dad is a Marxist, she’s quite literally the enemy of the working class and Marxists. That’s been her entire career.

I’m usually not an advocate for parents disowning kids but…
