The New York lawmaker responded to Fetterman's dismissal of her call on Monday for an arms embargo on Israel, which has received billions of dollars worth of weapons and other military aid since the Hamas-led October 7 attack.
Man, you guys just don’t want any power, do you? Even the best candidates you still say you wouldn’t vote for because they aren’t perfect. I’m sorry to tell you, you’ll never have a perfect candidate. Pick your favorite political historical figure from any time and any location and go to their wiki page. Read through it and see if there’s things in there you don’t like. I promise you there are. Change doesn’t come from perfection. It comes from good enough (or tearing it all down, but then you have to put something up that’s good enough after, because it’s sure as hell not going to be something everyone can agree on).
Probably only if seen as vulnerable. The illegal unregistered Israeli foreign lobbying groups like AIPAC are a paper tiger unless they pick a small subset of races to dump a ton of money in, and every time they fail (like with Summer Lee) it emboldens more resistance. They don’t want to wind up like the NRA, who got too aggressive with dems, lost some races, and then dems realized they didn’t need to kiss that ring anymore, limiting their influence to the GOP.
That’s still enough to get her hit with the dark money equivalent of a 2000 pound glide bomb in the next election.
Good. She shouldn’t have voted to end the rail strike. She matters not.
