I too want Univeraal Healthcare to be a thing in the U.S. That being said one thing that I think people don’t fully understand about this is that we are sending them Military Equipment that we already spent money on. We aren’t just sending them that in cash.
We should definitely have a conversation around how much we spend on the MilItaly Indusrial Complex in America and the better ways we could spend that money to help our own citizens.

“Military vs healthcare” is a red herring, because “how are you going to pay for it” is a red herring. We can have one or the other, or both, or neither.
A much better argument is one of labor and resource allocation. A country has only so much productive capacity, and people being employed by the military industry are not doing socially useful work.
Yes. If everyone’s labor is allocated to killing people, that leaves no labor leftt to cure people.
