I feel like more countries should do the “the king is not invited” strat that mexico is doing, its a pretty efficient way to delegitimize opposition parties and media. Genius really, in mexico you now have the same guys that decry dictatorship defending a literal monarch lmao.

It is a few matchdays into the Premier League and Liverpool have a small lead at the top so I have become a Liverpool fan again. Feels good to watch games on the weekend. Not looking forward to when they crash and burn at some point and I lose interest.

The problem is I don’t think they deserve my support. The only thing I got out of supporting a team based in England while I am in India is that I felt a sense of camaraderie with fellow supporters. Earlier it was through an obscure Malaysian forum that was shut down, then through the subreddit but everything is astroturfed to hell now. If I was around more people that were into football maybe I would be more into it but tempering my interest seems good for now.

Injured myself while marathon training so I think the marathon is off for now. Got some issues with my knee. It’s better now but it took 2+ weeks out of my schedule and I don’t think I can or want to compensate it.

Decided to up the strength training and I joined the gym again after more than a year of working out at home. Took me five minutes to realize that working out at the gym can suck ass lol. The gym I was at has 1 lat pull down machine for the entire gym. They have 700 bikes though so I guess you can do that. Might need to look for another location.

Yes… that’s definitely what happened. No one was locked in any basements. Nope, just a fun vacation. By the way, you might want to check what’s inside those cans of “Dr. Pepper” we gave you.

      • Oh I donated them to the local food bank I wanted to spread the kindness the tea club gave me with my comunity.

also you keep saying this so sinsterly, it was genuinly a really nice weekend. I highly recomend if the Tea Club offers you a vacation that you take them up on it

Good! Now even more people will get to drink the real tea that we replaced the Dr. Pepper with.

Yes, if we ever offer you a vacation, do not resist. Um, I mean… you should definitely take us up on our offer :3

Talking politics with right wingers is like trying to teach a pig math. They live in their own little world and then get violently angry when you tell them what’s really going on.

On the flip side, I was talking to day with a truck driver who was Republican. He was complaining about his trucking company, the CEOs and how local food taxes are about to go up due to stadiums being built in the city. I said, “you know, they should really be putting those taxes onto the CEOs and the businesses screwing you over.” Motherfucker said he’d vote for me lmaoooo

I think they might be easier to win over than I once thought.

The culture war has broken a lot of brains but the key to undoing that is to appeal to people’s class interests. They may not consciously understand those interests but they instinctively feel them. They are looking for validation and explanation, but unfortunately oftentimes they will turn to conspiracy theories, identity politics and other forms of magical thinking for answers. Our task is to provide them a real, materialist explanation, but do so not in a condescending way (the most ineffectual way to do class consciousness raising propaganda is to talk to people in the kind of smug, accusatory, “better-than-you” way that liberals do) but in a way that makes them feel seen and feel that their material woes are being taken seriously.

For sure. I just think it was pretty eye opening for me; that when it all comes down to it, we’re all united under the same banner of struggle. Some people have just fallen through the cracks in the mess of it all.

It can feel that way because stimulants increase your heart rate. What size was it? I’d strongly advise against drinking an entire large can at once. When it comes to caffeine i find that less is more. I dilute my coffee with plenty of milk and when i do have energy drinks (though i generally try to avoid them) i will water them down in a 50-50 ratio.

Caffeine, like any other upper, is bound to give you anxiety. I can’t have more than two coffees a day anymore or I’m bound to become very nervous.
