seems fitting if I were to judge a show by its snippet
what da… is that man full of grey matter?
ah so the secret to doing something which I (possibly mysteriously) dread, is to add a new item to the list that I dread even moreso. and then queue the loop of feeling like a goober about myself. progress some days is progress anyway!

that makes sense! thanks for the break down, and good to know!
I’m not an admin or really THAT technically knowledgeable when it comes to underlying infrastructure of these things, but because you mention VPN users in reference to shared IPs - would it be worth considering and mentioning mobile users or users otherwise on CGNAT networks?
For example, TMobile Home Internet would result in multiple users being represented by a shared public IP. Maybe these exit nodes don’t have nearly the number of users under one IP on comparison to users behind a popular VPN services assigned IPs? I don’t know, but thought it might be relevant! I understand it’s also a tool geared toward combatting this spam and only so much can be considered against the improvement.
the puppet master of our best case scenario:
I’ve yet to get to the bottom of it. We were fortunately fairly close beforehand. I even have a few tattoos. But the nose ring… that’s what snapped it somehow.
pretty bizzarro! I laugh about it myself honestly.
I don’t have issues with redgifs. I thought I recalled a setting similar to media player defaults but I can’t find it, so I must’ve been thinking of infinity for reddit.
does it have anything to do with default browser, I wonder? I’m on grapheneOS with vanadium as my browser.
tailscale here as well. it’s honestly 2ezpz to set up, and that’s about it! this also allows you to access other services you may be hosting.
you can also specify an exit node that your traffic will route through if you are connected to your tailnet. for example, if you had a VPN client on your home router, you could set a PC on that network as your exit node and your remote traffic through tailscale would ultimately hit your home network and then out through your PC -> VPN -> Internet setup.
+1 for Voyager. It’s my first and so far only client that I’ve used, having been on infinity for reddit before switching.
I like it. it’s smooth, works well, and has fairly granular settings for how to handle “read” posts, gesture controls within posts / comments, and so on.
have you already given trash guides a read? it helped me be able to conceptually put the pieces together a little better. it still took actually setting them up and using them for a bit to really understand certain aspects of them, or see ‘why’ certain things are how they are when I’d previously had no clue for some settings.
Nose piercing… I’d been a legal adult for 12 years at the time I got the piercing.
borrowed your login vs. tailscale shortcut folders :)
I’ve been using this app with one other person for shared tracking. we’ve been satisfied with the (lack of) battery drain, which was my main concern about the app (not for anything specifically about Paralino). so far, no issues or qualms. will be nice when it no longer relies on Google Services on Android.
I only have location services enabled under certain conditions when away from the house, but it seems to handle the off / on of this service just fine without having to restart the app or anything. unsurprisingly, it also let’s me view the other’s location even if my own location is disabled at the moment. we have ours sharing location, battery percentage, and network type from each device.
paid features let you add more connections to share locations with, create additional groups, and other small QoL things like being able to attempt a forced refresh of the other person’s location, etc.
