If a small group of elite are making the decisions, then the working class doesn’t own the means of production, because the owners of the means are the ones who make those decisions.

All those examples have centralized power under centralized leadership, it’s pure fantasy to believe the working class had any control of the decisions being made.

Go ahead and cite your examples where the working class transformed into the ruling class under socialism without the inevitable forming of bureaucratic/political elite who centralize power and establish a hierarchy of control.

Oh but it does. The masses are very much aware of their conditions, and that is good enough as long as they are fed. There is no transcendental event because starving masses rise up, they rise up because they are starving, not because they suddenly realized class consciousness. Your examples display the nature of these “communist” uprising as merely an exchange of one ruling class for another, from the bourgeois to the bureaucrat, nothing substantial changes except that under these types of systems the people must be subjugated to ensure ideological conformity. Communism cannot compete in the free market of ideas, it has to be forced, like any other totalitarian system, and any thought that deviates from the official ideology is repressed. The communist intelligentsia are nothing more than closeted aristocrats.

Marxism presupposes aspects of human nature that just don’t exist. Humans are not logic rational creatures, they are bored, lazy apes. Achieving class consciousness is to go beyond a state of anything human, the entire species would have to become more human than human. The masses want to be entertained, not “educated” and “agitated”.
