In this case, it seems tobbe the same deal as it was with Bloodborne: FromSoft didn’t make it by themselves. It was co-developed by Nintendo, so they have co-ownership rights and are free to keep it on their own console. FromSoft likely wouldn’t have hadntge manpower to make it on their own, with whatever other projects they have going.

After seeing how “buying” a game on switch 2 is going to work, I’m waiting for emulators.

I still didn’t get the thing about the virtual gamecard. They make it sound as if it were just a gamecard that you can lend. But I cannot help to get the feeling they are fucking with us somehow.

Not my type of game, but I can feel your pain. Waiting for the next F-Zero game and I was hoping that Metroid Prime 4 would also come to the Switch.

Prime 4 is coming to the switch and switch 2. It has an upgraded version for switch 2 that allows for 4k 60fps (graphic mode) or 1080p 120fps (performance mode).

Ah nice. I hope that then prime 4 will have the switch pricing and not the switch 2 pricing. When it’s the latter well… the sea is calling.

Is it actually? I only played bloodborne for like 3 hours on my steam deck. Never owned a PS4 or 5. And I’ve played all the other souls games. I saw clips of this game with janky animations and jetpacks. Is that really what’s in bloodborne? I always thought bloodborne was more like a souls game.

It’s the aesthetics that are similar. That’s it. Bloodborne is my favorite game ever but this seems like it’s gonna be a multiplayer game so I’m cautiously excited

Switch can be emulated flawlessly on most semi recent mid range PCs and even many android phones. It’ll probably be the same for the Switch 2.

Switch 2 is as powerful as a ps4, at least. There’s no good ps4 emulators so I don’t think switch 2 would be that easy

Emulation isn’t an simple as that. N64 used to be a pain to emulate when the hardware was already super dated. Gamcube and Wii however hardly require more ressources than running the software natively. It’s not just a matter of how powerful a system is.

Try emulating a PS3 game with RPCS3 and then its Switch port. Switch is much less demanding.
