    I could find no news article on this. Only Facebook went back to 2015 on this image, and even so another report had it as a 2016 event.

    Anyway, the stories all say the same thing. This man had a house fire, and unfortunately his dog died of smoke inhalation. The firefighters brought his dog out to him, and this is the image we have.

    Edit: found the article about the fire.

    I buried two dogs a month apart last year. I don’t remember the time before those two instances where I ugly cried. It just didn’t stop for a long time. I had the fortune to be able to bury them on property. Tears the entire time. It never gets easier, nor should it.

    I went zero to sixty, STRAIGHT into tears. You need to put some warnings on this stuff, man!

    Beautiful and poignant and dark as a dirge. But fuck, warn me first.
